The National Music Teacher Mentoring Program (NMTMP) exists to create opportunities for every child to access quality music education in the classroom across remote, regional, and metropolitan Australia.

What is Mentoring

The NMTMP adopts a collaborative self-development approach to mentoring, pairing an experienced music teacher with a teacher less experienced in the teaching of music.

Our Impact

Since 2015, tens of thousands of students nationally have received a foundational music education through the upskilling of over 700 classroom teachers. In 2023, the program operates in NSW, VIC, WA & SA.
